Getting to Naples and the University

Arriving in Naples from other European countries is quite convenient, thanks to its well-connected transportation network. The best way to get there is clearly by air ✈️ to Naples International Airport (NAP).

Naples International Airport (Aeroporto di Napoli-Capodichino, NAP) is the main airport serving the city. It has direct flights from major European cities, including London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Vienna, and Barcelona. Budget airlines like Ryanair, easyJet, and Wizz Air offer affordable flights. From the airport, you can reach the city center in 15-20 minutes via:

  • 🚌 Alibus shuttle (€5): a direct shuttle bus to Naples Central Station (Piazza Garibaldi) and the port.
  • πŸš• Taxi: a taxi from the airport to the city center has a fixed fare of around €25. Note that rideshare apps like Uber are not legal in Italy 🚫!

How to Reach the University (Piazzale Tecchio 80) 🏫

From Naples International Airport (NAP):

  • πŸšŒπŸš† By Bus and Metro: Take the Alibus shuttle to Naples Central Station (Piazza Garibaldi). From there, take Metro Line 2 πŸš† towards Pozzuoli and get off at the Campi Flegrei stop. The university is a 5-minute walk from the station. The total travel time is approximately 40–60 minutes, depending on traffic and connections.
